Insolvency specialists are hoping to put cash in the coffers of St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice with a corporate quiz night.

Barringtons Corporate Recovery (BCR) will welcome teams of professionals to Residence Restaurant and Bar in Nantwich on April 23 – St George’s Day – for a night of brain-teasing fun, good food and networking.

BCR managing director Phil Wood said: “As well as raising cash for a good cause we also wanted to mark St George’s Day in a memorable way.

“Patron Saints days are always a big occasion in Wales, Scotland and Ireland but George is often overlooked in England so we hope to make this an annual event and at least change that locally.”

BCR, which has offices in Nantwich, Newcastle, Newport, Market Drayton and Manchester, is providing a trophy while Ben Rafferty of Residence has turned over the whole of the restaurant for the evening.

Teams of four will pay £50 to take part which includes a hot supper in the restaurant. All proceeds will go to the hospice.

Start time is 6pm with an expected finish by 9.30pm.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
