There are just a few tickets left to be snapped up for the latest Very Best in Standup night at Nantwich Civic Hall.
This Friday’s show has once again drawn in top acts from across the UK, including Neil Fitzmaurice (pictured).
Neil co-wrote the legendary “Phoenix Nights” with Peter Kay and Dave Spikey, and is also known for classic characters such as “Ray Von”, the social club’s out of place DJ, and Jeff Heaney from the hugely successful “Peep Show” series.
He wrote the 1990s cult film “Going Off Big Time” and returned to stand up four years ago to go back to his roots.
Compere will be comedy stalwart Andre Vincent, long time partner of Marcus Brigstocke on the radio and TV series The Late Edition. He has also clocked nine sell out runs at Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Returning to Nantwich is Mike Newall, who has also enjoyed two successful Edinburgh Festival stints with his shows “Mr. Famous” in 2010 and “Mike Newall’s Get Better Box”.
And final act is Malawian Daliso Chaponda, who has been hitting the headlines because he’s touring his show “Antisocial Commentator” in Malawi and Zimbabwe.
Daliso’s father George is the Education Minister in Malawi, and despite the threat of jail Daliso continues to make him the subject of some of his show.
Tickets are priced £10, doors open at 7.15pm, show starts at 8.15pm this Friday March 2. No under 16s allowed, all persons under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
