Nantwich Town have completed the sale of striker Ben Mills to npower League 2 side Macclesfield Town.

The Dabbers have secured a five-figure sum for the 12-goal hotshot (pictured).

And he leaves with the club’s best wishes as he looks to carve out a career in the professional game.

“Ben has been an inspiration since he joined us in the summer,” said Nantwich Town manager Jimmy Quinn.

“We are sorry to lose him but he deserves his chance in League football.”

Mills, 22, joined Nantwich from Stafford Rangers in the close season and made 28 starts and four substitute appearances for the Dabbers.

“I’ve had a terrific time at Nantwich,” he said.

“I can’t thank the club enough for giving me the opportunity to step into League football.

“The gaffer (Quinn) has helped me to improve my all-round game and I’m very grateful to him for that.

“I’d also like to say a huge thank you to the Nantwich fans for all the support they have given me – it’s a great club and I wish them all the best for the rest of the season and beyond.”

Mills will be returning to the Weaver Stadium next year.

As part of the deal, Macclesfield have agreed to send their full first-team squad to Nantwich for a 2012/13 pre-season friendly.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
