Brine Leas School, Nantwich

Brine Leas School in Nantwich is hoping to finally ditch its old mobile classrooms with plans for a new teaching block.

The proposals will see a new two-storey block containing eight classrooms built next to the sports hall at the academy’s Audlem Road site.

Three mobile classrooms currently there would be removed, and a fourth moved to another site to used as a storage and an emergency classroom.

Other storage buildings, including an old shipping container, would also be removed.

The new teaching block will included four specialist ICT classrooms and specialist support.

Existing ICT rooms in other parts of the school would then be turned into science laboratories, currently lacking.

The plans are currently before Cheshire East Council, with a public consultation ongoing until January 6 2012.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
