Nantwich residents are being urged to take their wheelie bins into gardens to prevent high winds blowing them over and littering the streets.

Cheshire East Council has had reports of strong winds causing problems with bins which were left out this morning for collection.

A spokesman said “Residents who have put their bins out for emptying today (December 29) are asked to take them back to their property whether or not they have been emptied as high winds in the area are causing waste to blown about.

“Some households have been affected by changes to the collection timetable due to the festive period.”

Residents are also reminded to take note of New Year collection times.

Those due to have recycled waste collected on Monday January 2 will instead be collected on Wednesday, January 4.

Non-recyclable waste due to be collected on Monday January 2 will instead be collected on Tuesday January 3.

All other collections remain as normal.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
