Dozens of Nantwich families gathered to enjoy Stapeley’s first community Christmas Carol Service at the Cronkinson pub.

Nantwich and District Concert Band provided the music as over a hundred people packed in to the pub’s beer garden off Peter de Stapleigh Way.

Stapeley and District parish councillor Mike Docker spearheaded the successful event in a short space of time.

Nantwich and District Concert Band played a series of favourites such as Silent Night and Come All Ye Faithful under the musical direction of Ola Ness.

Cllr Docker and Cllr Maxine Galt organised refreshments served up by staff at the pub.

Sandy Gwinn-Freemantle, chairman of the Parish Council, said: “It was a great family event, a superb atmosphere and a good start to the Christmas period.

“It was very pleasing to see such a good turn-out. This is an event we will certainly repeat next year.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
