Music and performing arts students at a Crewe and Nantwich college staged a spectacular Christmas music concert.

The South Cheshire College students performed a double header of festive hits and popular songs.

Staff, students and members of the public attended the celebration, called Yule Rock, in the college’s Centre Stage Theatre.

Students involved included a mix of A-Level and vocational students and the performances featured the live rock band “Yule Rock”, a festive choir, solo performances and songs which required audience participation.

Anna Wootton, music lecturer, said: “The students all worked extremely hard in the run-up to these performances.

“They wanted to send people away with the sound of Christmas ringing in their ears and help people to get into the festive spirit.

“These festive performances gave music and performing arts students the opportunity to showcase their musical skills and talent in front of a live audience.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
