Blyth FA Cup - Nantwich Town's Weaver Stadium, pre-season games, community football

By Ashley Houghton
Nantwich Town’s match with North Ferriby United at the Weaver Stadium has been postponed because of a frozen pitch.

Club and match officials carried out a pitch inspection at around 10.30am and decided the pitch was too dangerous for the match to go ahead.

The Dabbers were hoping to follow up their mdweek 3-2 Cheshire Senior Cup victory at Woodley Sports with a home victory in the Evo-Stik Premier League.

Boss Jimmy Quinn did have a full squad to select from, except for Darren Moss who is unavailable through suspension.

Nantwich are next in action when they entertain Stafford Rangers on Boxing Day.

Supporters will be getting into the Christmas spirit with a pre-match coffee and mince pie event in the function suite from 10am.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
