Father Christmas is taking time off from his busy schedule to meet and hand out presents to youngsters at his Nantwich Grotto.

He has once again set up a branch of his Grotto upstairs in the attic of the Nantwich Bookshop on High Street, in the town square.

Santa and his helpers will be there for the next two Saturdays December 10 and 17, from 10am-4pm.

There are gifts for boys and girls, with visits costing just £3 per child, or £5 for two children, money raised going to local causes.

It’s the third year Santa has setup his Grotto in the popular bookshop.

The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Nantwich Foundation Committee.

Last year, Santa’s Grotto raised £900 and this year money will go to local charities including the Wingate Centre in Wrenbury and Nantwich Museum.

Rotary Foundation Chairman Nigel Ball said: “We are very grateful to Steve Lawson, the owner of Nantwich Bookshop, for his continued help and support in allowing us to raise money for worthwhile causes.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
