Crowds of people visited Richmond Village in Nantwich to enjoy a traditional Christmas Fayre
Craft stalls tempted visitors to buy Christmas gifts, while pupils from Stapeley Broad Lane and Nantwich Young Voices serenaded visitors with Christmas carols around the Christmas tree.
Mulled Wine and Mince Pies were served, with a guest appearance by Father Christmas with his sleigh.
Residents from the retirement village had made reindeer food, sweet bombs, and Christmas biscuits to sell.
Each stall donated a prize for the raffle, which helped to raise £185 for the Christmas charities of the Nantwich Rotary Club, including SCANS, St Luke’s Hospice, Home Start, Wingate Special Children’s Trust, Nantwich Museum and Willaston Scouts.
The Cat Community Radio broadcasted live and presenter Jason Griffiths said: “It was also lovely to see people bringing along their cuddly toys for the Cuddly Toy Appeal which Richmond Village are promoting alongside Nantwich Sainsbury’s.
“They are trying to get as many cuddly toys for the Wingate Special Children’s Trust as possible to fill up their stocks over the Christmas period.”
