Nantwich Players

Tickets have gone on sale for the latest performance by popular amateur dramatics group Nantwich Players.

The classic E Nesbit story of The Railway Children has been adapted by Mike Kenny, to run from December 9 to 17 at the Love Lane theatre in Nantwich.

“In this acclaimed version of an evergreen story, The Railway Children are now young adults,” says a Players spokesman.

“As the play starts, Bobbie notices a toy train and suddenly memories are triggered.

“This glorious adaptation never runs out of steam as we meet Mr Perks and his family, the Old Gentleman and all the other well-known characters.”

The Railway Children offers Christmas entertainment for the whole family. Performances start at 7.45pm, with a matinee at 2.30pm on the final Saturday December 17.

Tickets are on sale at Nantwich Tourist Office, call 01270 537359.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
