Fernando Torres trumped his football rivals Wayne Rooney and Christiano Ronaldo at a Nantwich boxing event!

A Chelsea shirt signed by Torres was sold for £180 at the auction during the annual ABA night organised by Nantwich Cricket Club.

That came in £50 higher than a shirt signed by Rooney, and £80 more than Ronaldo’s shirt.

A framed photo montage of Sir Alex Ferguson was sold for £225 at the same event, compered by Sky Sports’ darts commentator John Gwynne.

The event, at Nantwich Civic Centre, hosted the ABA semi-final between Merseyside and Cheshire.

The audience watched 10 bouts, involving fighters from a range of different amateur clubs across the two regions.

It was the 32nd annual event.

Rob Sproston, chairman of Nantwich Cricket Club, said: “We must thanks our friends from the Merseyside and Cheshire ABA for their efforts in putting together the night’s bouts.”

Catering was provided by Nantwich restaurant Bon Amis, on Hospital Street.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
