Nantwich-based The Cat radio station is launching its Community Awards – 2012 scheme.
The awards are designed to recognise the people from Crewe and Nantwich who dedicate their time to support all aspects of local life.
A spokeswoman for the station said: “The Cat would like to celebrate the commitment and hard work that goes on in to our area by recognising and saying thankyou to those who help us.
“The Cat Community Awards have been launched to find our un-sung heroes.”
They want residents to nominate someone they know by emailing [email protected] by January 1.
All nominations will go before a judging panel and the winners will receive a certificate in February.
There are five categories – under 16s award; carer/helper award; long service award; group or team award; and an against-the-odds award.
