Leighton Hospital patients can air their views on the treatment they received as part of a new survey.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT) is randomly selecting patients recently treated at Leighton to take part in a questionnaire from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The survey results, which refers to patients admitted in August 2011, aims to highlight areas where patient experience can be improved.

It focuses on issues like admission, quality of care, and communication with medical staff, as well as pain control, information provided, medicines, involvement in their care, hospital food, cleanliness and discharge arrangements.

The survey is part of a national programme led by the CQC, with patients from every NHS Hospital Trust in England participating.

Julie Smith, director of nursing and quality at MCHFT, said: “Obtaining feedback from patients and taking account of their views and priorities is vital for bringing about improvements in the quality of care.

“We hope our patients will take the time to help us with this survey. This is an excellent way for our patients to help shape the services we provide in the future.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
