Fire crews are damping down after finally bringing a huge blaze at a scrap metal dealers in Nantwich under control.

These pictures show the scale of the incident at Garratt’s Metals, which forced police to close all major roads around the site on Alvaston Business Park.

The A51, A500 bypass, and A530 roads were all closed at one point, causing traffic mayhem for drivers for several hours.

Roads have been re-opening throughout the day, and the number of fire appliances on site has been reduced to two and the aerial appliance.

Now police and fire investigators begin the pain-staking probe into how the blaze started.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
