An inquest has been set into the death of a cyclist from Wistaston who died in a road accident on the busy A50.

Retired estates manager David Allbutt, of Yew Tree Road, died after the collision on May 19 earlier this year.

The 62-year-old was riding his pedal cycle along the A50 Liverpool Road West at Church Lawton when it was in collision with a Toyota Yaris.

The 55-year-old driver of the car was not seriously injured.

The inquest will take place at the Crewe Municipal Building on December 15.
