Football legends Frank Blunstone and Jimmy Quinn entertained residents at Richmond Village Nantwich with a special one-off appearance.

Ex England and Chelsea star Blunstone (pictured) and Northern Ireland star Quinn, now manager of Nantwich Town, captivated the audience with tales from their careers, including working with Tommy Docherty.

They were joined at the event by current Nantwich Town chairman Jon Gold.

He provided a potted history of Nantwich Town whose original ground was based at Jackson Avenue, close to the Village.

Village Advisor Nicola Tooke said: “We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening, particularly the hilarious stories that were recounted for our amusement.

“We are also very grateful to Jon and Nantwich Town for inviting our residents to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere at Nantwich Town whenever a home match is on.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
