Nantwich Town notched a second successive league victory with an impressive 3-1 win away at FC United of Manchester tonight (September 14).

The Dabbers turned in an excellent performance in front of 1,350 supporters at Bury’s Gigg Lane, and crashed in three second half goals to seal all three points.

After a goalless first half, Michael Lennon turned the game in Nantwich’s favour with his 55th minute strike.

Sean Cooke made it 2-0 just seven minutes later, and Niall Maguire added a third two minutes after that, leaving FC United shell-shocked.

They managed a consolation through David Chadwick on 78 minutes but Jimmy Quinn’s men stood firm to register a victory which takes them to 12th place in the Evo-Stik Premier League.

Meanwhile, Nantwich Town’s FA Cup first qualifying round tie against Ramsbottom United will be staged at AFC Darwen this Saturday September 17, kick off 3pm.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
