Acton Nomads 1sts will be looking to build on their impressive 26-5 defeat of Northwich when they travel to Trafford this weekend.

The Nomads proved too strong for their visitors and amassed a 21-5 lead by half time with tries from Mark Partridge and Jonny Brereton.

Marcus Horsley added a conversion and three long range penalties.

Man of the match Dan Johnson scored the final try of the game just after the restart following a fine run by Percy Percival who was brought down just short of the line.

The victory left Nomads at the top of University of Salford NWL Division 4 South after the first two games.

Nomads 2nd XV faired worse after a 61-0 defeat away at Buxton. They entertain Congleton at the Barony Park this Saturday, kick off 3pm.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
