Goals from Michael Lennon and Ben Mills earned Nantwich Town their second home victory of the campaign, beating Whitby Town 2-0.

The Dabbers dominated from the start, despite keeper Jonathan Brain being called on to make one or two crucial stops.

Ashley Carter should have given the hosts the lead on the half hour but shot wide,  but Lennon (pictured) gave them the perfect tonic when he rounded the keeper to bag his fourth of the season on the stroke of half-time.

Lennon had two chances to increase the lead after the break before Mills put the result beyond doubt with a 30-yard screamer into the top corner.

Man of the match Aleksandrs Solovjovs almost made it 3-0 near the end, his rasping drive narrowly going wide.

The victory, in front of 223 supporters at the Weaver Stadium, moves Nantwich up to 14th place in Evo-Stik Premier Division.

And it sets them up for Wednesday night’s eagerly-awaited trip to face FC United of Manchester.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
