The Oxfam Bookshop in Nantwich has received an impressive £3,000 in donations for the Oxfam East Africa Appeal at the shop at 21 Pepper Street.

And donations have ranged from large cheques to a small child bringing in her piggy-bank to the shop.

Shop Manager Val Richards says donations are still being accepted and also highlighted two events which will help the Oxfam Appeal.

Paul Cable, whose dad Peter is a volunteer at the Pepper Street shop, will be running the Great North Run on Sunday September 18.

All funds raised will go to Oxfam, and you can sponsor him on  http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/PaulCable1

A Yoga afternoon will be taking place at Acton Village Hall, on Chester Road, on September 24. There will be a community lunch and some retail therapy.

To find out more, or to buy tickets for the YOGA MALA event, contact Jill Amison on 07791749502 or [email protected]

All proceeds will go the the Oxfam East Africa Appeal.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
